This is My Story

I would like to share with you my path of discovering Natural Health. Way back in my twenties when I discovered yoga , it had recommended  a vegetarian diet. I found this to be a very comfortable  transition  in my life as I immediately noticed the profound changes in my body. I had more energy, was sleeping better and had better digestion. I travelled to India a few times and visited many different ashrams and was in the Hare Krishna temples for ten years. Most of vegetarian food was very much cooked and laden with milk products which I hadn’t been accustomed to. As much as I loved the food my health began to suffer as a consequence from that. I then discovered a book called “Fit for Life” by Harvey Diamond. This book was a real eye opener for me. He demonstrated a “Natural Hygiene” approach, using just fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains. (For some strange reason he threw in a few chicken recipes, but I ignored that abberation!).My health improved greatly. I went on to read Anne Wigmore’s books. She recovered from terminal cancer with simple natural food, and founded a centre called “Hippocrates Institute”.

After several years of experimentation, trial and error, ups and downs I realised how profoundly one’s diet is in relation to how we look and feel. In 2004 I made a commitment and decided  to dedicate myself to help others discover the benefits of simple, natural “Plant Based” eating.

My next step was to spend 9 invaluable weeks at the Hippocrates Institute in Florida, training as a Health Educator. (For the record, I don’t agree with the current director’s War on Fruit!) Since then I have worked with thousands of people all over Ireland with amazing results  to introduce them to the HUGE benefits of a Low Fat, Wholefood, Mostly Raw, Plant Based lifestyle. I am passionate about what I do, and I love teaching and sharing it. Who wouldn’t be excited in a country where 1 in 3 will get cancer, and 1 in 3 will die from Heart disease, when this simple natural food is an easy way to avoid both! I am also very outspoken on the corruption of a food and medical industry that ignores and twists evidence to suit their own profits. By the way, I would like to share some of my results with you…

Well, here is how I look in 2015..

A few points… Firstly, Im 53.

My hair colour is natural. I have maintained a healthy weight of 65kg for over ten years, without ever dieting. I recently visited a doctor who tested my blood pressure at 95/66. He told me it’s on the low end of normal, which is exactly what I would expect. He also told me he knows a lot of people who would give a million euros for blood pressure like that.

Which is two good points.

  1. Money is no good if you are sick and dying.
  2. You don’t have to spend a fortune on drugs, surgery and other patch ups… You can live a natural healthy lifestyle instead and I want to help you achieve just that! I hope you will be inspired to experience the dramatic life changing benefits that I have of with using a simple natural low fat, wholefood, plant based diet.I’m always learning more, and loving it.
